Thank You All!

In the past weeks a lot has happened around here.

In one week the building with the guest rooms was put up and the following week the main house was up. They still have to be plastered inside and outside, the sanitary fittings have to be installed and the terrain with walkways and terraces have to be put in place.

We are so busy at the moment that we can’t seem to find much time to write.

Next week we will film and photograph the works in progress again.

But today we want to thank you all!

Thank you for your interest and for your kind and encouraging comments.

The Maya Guesthouse has helped us to be able to look at the world like a village thanks to the people from all over the world who visit our blog and our website.

People we will hopefully meet in person someday in the future and others for whom Switzerland will unfortunately remain inaccessible.

We’ve had followers on our website and blog from the U.S., Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, South America and even from the Gaza Strip!

We would like to express our gratitude to all these people. They have encouraged us to keep going and to take obstacles with even more vigor.

We sincerely look forward to meeting a lot of you.

Thank you!

About The Maya Guesthouse

The Maya Guesthouse is the first hotel built with straw bales. This hotel is situated on 1300 meters in the Swiss Alps. We took 250 tons of CO2 and stocked them into the walls. Valais and Swiss specialties are served in our restaurant. Join us on Facebook!
