It is an invitation to the study of nature, landscapes and urbanism with the goal to capture reality in its most elusive appearances. An ode to the light and the colour represented by some 70 paintings, including 26 historical loans from the Marmottan Monet Museum, other major museums (Basel, Bern, Lausanne, Zurich, …) and private collections in Switzerland. This broad overview of Monet’s  work  highlights the main themes of the artist work including Argenteuil, Vetheuil, Holland, the Haystacks, Rouen Cathedral, London, Bordighera, Poplars, the Water Lilies the Japanese Bridge … This pictorial tour offers visitors a walk in the footsteps of the chosen places of the artist in Giverny: the banks of the Seine, the coast of Normandy, Brittany and Italy.
